My Why

I believe in the ever-evolving human potential.

Similar to the aspen, we are all interconnected. Everything we think and do has an impact on ourselves, each other, and the whole. So, it is my life “why” to embody and promote just and ethical ways of being together on this large ball we call Earth.

What People Are Saying

“As the author of The Guided Imagery Handbook, I used Linda Newell as an equity reviewer of my book. She helped me catch language and concepts that could have come across as problematic to those in historically marginalized communities. Together, we modified or replaced them with verbiage that was more inclusive. Linda found some “blind spots” that we worked through that helped contribute to a more inclusive reading experience.

Linda was quick, thorough, and exceptionally professional. I am extremely grateful for her expert assistance, as I know it brought my book to another level of which I can feel proud.”

—Kathe Caldwell, CCH, GiT, CADC-II

Author of The Guided Imagery Handbook

Thank you for your help and guidance in our sessions. I find myself reflecting on the things we speak about regularly and really value your insight. A quick hour with you every so often has really made me more confident in my work, my ability to deliver on my goals and, most importantly, to centre myself. I also get to bring the resources you share with me to my coworkers. It's so impactful!

I look forward to working with you more.

As the Developmental Minister at the First Universalist Church of Denver, I am very grateful for the consulting leadership of Linda Newell. Her calm, appreciative, and competent presence brought First Universalist to a healthier place with their long history of conflict. I highly recommend her as a consultant."

Words I’ve Written

From transforming conflict and community, politics and policy, and some personal opinions along the way, here are a few of my published pieces over the years.

The Last Bill, A Senator’s Story

To help create more informed and empathic voters, I produced a documentary short about the legislative process and political conflict during my last session in the State Senate.

Gratefully, we were chosen as a partner of the Denver Film Society Classroom Cinema project. Since, it has been shown to student, non-profit, and community audiences across Colorado.
